The 24 teams in the Women's Championship Division will feature the team that last won the national title last time we were here...Michigan State. Let's see who else will vie for the title.
Pool A features Texas A&M (2012 Round of 16), Virginia (2012 Semifinalist) and USC who returns to the championship division from last year.
Pool B has Miami University returning to the championship division from last year, Colorado "Gold" (2012 Quarterfinalist) and Florida also returning to the championship division from last year.
Pool C houses Oregon, Pittsburgh (2012 Quarterfinalist) and Kansas (2012 Round of 16).
Pool D features Delaware (2012 Round of 16), California State-Northridge and Illinois returning to the championship division from last year.
Pool E is where we find North Carolina State, UC Davis (who participated in open last year) and Colorado School of Mines (who also participated in open last year).
Pool F features North Carolina (2012 Quarterfinalist), Michigan State (2012 National Champions) and Cornell who participated in the open division last year.
Pool G has Colorado State (2012 Round of 16), Texas (2012 Semifinalist) and Florida State.
Finally Pool H is where we find Ohio State (2012 Quarterfinalist), Penn State returning to the championship division from last year and UCSB (2012 Finalist).
Will Michigan State win the national title again in Memphis? Will there be a new champion? The games begin Thursday at 8am!
My daughter's team from UCONN is a late entrant. If anyone wants to share a room please let me know. Rooms impossible to find. Can easily bring a blow up mattress for the floor if only one bed.
